Think about it; a chocolate, jam filled sponge covered in blue butter cream icing just invites itself to be scoffed. It may as well have 'scoff me' written right across the front in huge letters. A delicate dessert fork simply will not do! So while I do intend to teach him some table manners (he may just have a tough time dating when he's older if he insists on burying his face in his apple pie at a restaurant!), I think I'm going to allow him to scoff for a bit longer. Afterall, life is here to be enjoyed, and food is one of the great enjoyable things in life. So the next time you have cake, feel free to scoff. Enjoy!
HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY JACKSON!
What a darling child. Enjoy every year. Soon he'll be asking to borrow the car.

Totally agree! Let them enjoy everything!! My dad was finger paiting with my daughter when she was 3 and she has the urge to put a blue hand print on his bald head...it's one of my favorite keepsake pix now.
